MARK MAXEY, PRODUCER

Mark Maxey is an Emmy award-winning producer and President of Rolling Pictures - a motion picture company in Burbank, California delivering development, packaging, financing, production and editorial services for film and television. His feature films include:

  • WORDS OF WAR starring Jason Isaacs, Ciarán Hinds, Ben Miles and Maxine Peake, directed by James Strong.

  • SPACE ODDITY starring Kevin Bacon, Madeline Brewer, Carrie Preston, Alexandra Shipp, Kyle Allen and Simon Helberg, directed by Kyra Sedgwick.

  • AS THEY MADE US starring Dustin Hoffman, Candice Bergen, Dianna Agron, and Simon Helberg, directed by Mayim Bialik.

  • RARE OBJECTS starring Katie Holmes, Alan Cumming, and Derek Luke, directed by Katie Holmes.

  • UP TO SNUFF (documentary) which Maxey wrote, directed and produced, featuring Aaron Sorkin, Martin Sheen, Tom Arnold, Timothy Busfield, Ed Asner, Lawrence O’Donnell, and W.G. Snuffy Walden.

Television credits include critically acclaimed national television specials American Valor, The Honors: A Salute to American Heroes, Salute to Veterans, The Wounded Warrior Experience, and the National Memorial Day Parade. Maxey also created the PBS primetime special On Stage at the Kennedy Center: A Holiday Concert for the Troops with the late Marvin Hamlisch.

Maxey is on the board of directors of the Producers Guild of America and is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Maxey is co-founder and chairman emeritus of the Washington West Film Festival, the only film festival to donate 100% of box office proceeds to help an area of need in the community. Maxey also serves on the boards of Women in Film & Video, the Artistic Fuel Foundation, and the Rock & Roll for Children Foundation benefiting families fighting pediatric cancer at the Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health.
